520 _aOccupational Health and Safety (OHS) is a strategic approach to creating a work environment that prioritizes safety and well-being. However, although there have been significant improvements in construction safety in last decades, accidents and injuries continue to occur at construction sites. Therefore, the major objective of this study is to investigate the factors affecting OHS performance on Saudi Arabia (KSA) and Northern Cyprus (TRNC) construction sites. Consequently, a questionnaire was developed and distributed with the purpose of gathering the empirical data. In this study, a sample size of 400 and 388 respondents from KSA and TRNC, respectively, were gathered and analysed. The data were analysed utilizing Excel and SPSS version 23. The Relative Importance Index (RII) test was utilized to classify the importance level of the studied factors. The findings of the study showed that falling from heights is the most common cause of accidents in both, KAS and TRNC construction sites with 43.3% and 48.2%, respectively. Moreover, it was found that the human factors contribute significantly to OHS in KSA and TRNC construction sites. Also, it was found that RII for all group factors in KSA construction sites are higher than that in TRNC construction sites. For example, the average RII for human factors on KSA construction sites was found to be 0.787. However, the average RII for human factors on TRNC construction sites was 0.767.
