520 _aThis study focuses on the link between motivation and the Informational Social Influence theory into the context of language learning for a learner. The study used exploratory method and Google app store user reviews (Duolingo app) of languagelearning apps as data collection to be the main and secondary sources of data. These reviews pointed out what were positive and negative about the app. The reviews showed that the app can assist users improve their language skills and get them to use it more by showing them that other people like it. However, negative comments about things such as slow opening times, annoying ads, and software crashes could make users angry and less likely to keep trying. Within educational social psychology context where motivation and information social influence theory are moving side by side for language learning apps, analyzing the data was about to look at the content of the reviews, code it, and define for trends and patterns linked to motivation and peer pressure under the umbrella of social fluence theory. The results of the data analysis will be shown, along with a discussion of the methods used and how reliable and valid the study is. There is very clear similar effect between motivation and social influence theory that users are taking their decisions for language learning app (Duolingo).
