520 _aThis thesis investigates the impact of strategic management practices on employee performance in grocery stores across North Cyprus. The study aims to evaluate several aspects: the overall effect of strategic management practices on employee performance, the importance of effectively communicating the strategic plan, specific practices that boost employee satisfaction and commitment, and the correlation between employee demographics and their perceptions of strategic management. A cross-sectional survey was conducted using e-questionnaires, targeting 99 employees from various grocery stores in North Cyprus. The findings reveal that strategic management practices significantly influence employee performance, accounting for 42.2% of the observed impact. Among these practices, the effective communication of the strategic plan stands out, influencing employee performance by 33.5%, making it the most effective practice identified. Additionally, work experience emerged as the most significant demographic factor, affecting perceptions of strategic planning by 24.9%. The study suggests several recommendations. Primarily, it emphasizes the need for clear and consistent communication within stores to ensure that strategic plans are understood and embraced by all employees. Furthermore, fostering an inclusive decision-making process is highlighted as crucial for enhancing employee engagement and commitment. By adopting these recommendations, grocery stores in North Cyprus can enhance their strategic management practices, ultimately improving overall employee performance and satisfaction.
