ABSTRACT
Occupational health is concerned with protecting workers from harm on the job and
places a premium on identifying and eliminating potential dangers before they ever
become problems. Promoting and maintaining a culture of health in the workplace has
numerous benefits for individuals, communities, businesses, and nations. Investment
in workplace safety and health has been shown to increase productivity, product
quality, employee motivation, job satisfaction, and general well-being and protect
employees from harm.
The study's goal was to determine the impact of occupational health and safety
management on workers' job satisfaction and perceived job meaningfulness using
NPHIL employees. A judgmental sampling technique was used to select 175 workers
at NPHIL. The collected data were analyzed using SPSS software, and the multiple
linear regression model was used to estimate the impact of occupational health and
safety management on workers' job satisfaction and perceived job meaningfulness.
The study found that hazard prevention, control, and employee surveillance
statistically impact employees' job satisfaction. The study revealed that hazard
prevention and control and employee surveillance statistically impact perceived job
meaningfulness. It was found that health and safety training, hazard identification and
risk management, workplace inspection, and incidence investigation have a
statistically insignificant impact on job satisfaction and perceived job meaningfulness.
