Özet notu Purpose: The purpose of this research is to find out how incentives impact employee<br/>performance. as well as the most preferred type incentive by healthcare workers in<br/>Ughelli general hospital.<br/>Study review: Reviewing the different finding of incentive, types of incentives as well<br/>as the sub types of incentives and the performance of healthcare workers. The essence<br/>of this paper is to examine and identify an effective solution to enhance the<br/>performance of healthcare workers.<br/>Material and method: Questionnaire were distributed to 150 participants from the<br/>calculated population size, but only 120 could returned the questionnaire and 116<br/>completed the survey. 28 items were created to obtain information from participants.<br/>Categorical and Likert scale is mostly considered for the measurement.<br/>Findings and discussion: The data was analyzed using descriptive statistics, reliability<br/>of the data was carried out and ANOVA analysis.<br/>Conclusion and recommendation: According to the findings, it is estimated there are<br/>more male that completed the survey than female and there is a strong support<br/>incentive impacting and improving performance of healthcare workers. The financial<br/>incentive is more preferable. It is recommended that healthcare managers/<br/>organizations are advice to implement incentives system to increase the job<br/>performance and services they render.
