ABSTRACT
Leadership is defined here as managing limited resources and determining priorities to accomplish attainable goals. The public-sector corporations face significant issues and challenges in achieving their business objectives. This issue is prevalent more in developing nation, as Donkor & Zhou (2020) claimed that the issue pertaining to poor employee performance is more relevant in countries where the level of corruption is high; and there is poor supervision.In this concern, the main tenacity of this research is to address this problem while explaining how leadership can play a crucial role in enhancing the performance of employees at New Juaben South Municipal Assembly in Ghana. In this specified research, the researcher has relied on a quantitative research design in which the online survey has been used to collect a systematized data from the selected respondents. Moreover, the paradigm of convenience sampling has been applied with the primary motive to ensure that only those respondents have been chosen for the research who are already working in public sector corporation of Ghana (New Juaben South Municipal Assembly). Volunteers for a research project were carefully solicited using standard random sampling processes in order to produce a representative sample for the study's results. The conclusions of the research were based on a survey of 300 people of the New Juaben South Municipal Assembly, which was conducted.The findings obtained from the study mainly illustrates that out of all the four leadership styles investigated, the paradigm of transformational leadership style is considered to be the most effective one in enhancing the overall performance of employees at New Juaben South Municipal Assembly in Ghana.
