Institute of Graduate Studies and Research Tourism and Hotel Management Department Özet: ABSTRACT This research investigated the impact of environmental sustainability practices on green satisfaction and willingness to pay more for eco-friendly hotels. Furthermore, it focuses on the mediating influence of green satisfaction in the relationship between environmental sustainability practices and willingness to pay more for eco-friendly hotels. The survey is subjects to achieve the purpose of this study by selecting a sample of international tourist visiting Nigeria and staying at eco-friendly hotels in Lagos state. Statistics Program for the Social Sciences (SPSS) mathematical software is used in this study to analyze the data. Through the data of 316 participants, findings in this study showed a strong positive impact of environmentally sustainable practices on green satisfaction and willingness to pay more. Results from this study also showed the positive impact of green satisfaction on willingness to pay more. The result from this study shows that there is a stronger relationship between environmental sustainability practices and willingness to pay more for eco-friendly hotels than the mediating influence of green satisfaction. Hence, the mediating influence of green satisfaction is not supported in this study. This research will be beneficial to top management and other hotel businesses showing them that introducing an environmental sustainability practice is a powerful instrument for initiating green satisfaction and willingness to pay more. The findings of this study may serve as a roadmap for encouraging eco-friendlier hotels in Nigeria and other developing countries.
