ABSTRACT
Global rivalry is currently the primary factor in CEO's and academics' thoughts when it comes to business, and as a result, we are witnessing the transition from the industrial economy to the knowledge economy. The feelings and sentiments of employees play a part in how content nurses are with their work. It has a big impact on their careers, and as a result, it also has a big impact on how they act at work in terms of devotion, loyalty, teamwork, and interactions with coworkers.
The link between HRM practices and the job satisfaction of hospital nurses is still unclear, and there is a lack of information about it. Importantly, the overall findings are unsatisfactory and inconsistent. In addition to the aforementioned, little is known about the impact of HRM on hospital nurses' satisfaction at State Hospital Agbor in Delta State, Nigeria. As one of the most lucrative industries in Nigeria, this study is devoted to examining how HRM practices affect the job satisfaction of hospital nurses at State Hospital, Agbor. A quantitative study method was used in this research and the data was primarily quantitative. The study makes use of survey data collected from nurses in the hospital that included 270. The data collection was done online using Google Form links. The data gathered was analysed using SPSS version 20.0 and descriptive statistics was performed on all study variables. Regression analysis was conducted to test hypothesis.
The findings showed that there is an association between HRM practices on Job Satisfaction at State Hospitals either collectively or separately. Ensuring that nurses utilize all of their skills and abilities on the job, these elements can increase nurses' job satisfaction at State Hospital. The results of this research provide an understanding of the HRM practices that influence job satisfaction. Therefore, the conclusion of this research can be used for making decisions in Hospitals, companies, and other public sectors in Nigeria and other countries.
