This study explores the diverse effects of food festivals on local communities, specifically focusing on Fars Province, Iran. Although culinary events are becoming increasingly popular worldwide, there is still a lack of knowledge about the business strategies employed by food producers and sellers and a comprehensive evaluation of the impacts of gastronomic events. This research will fill these gaps by investigating economic, cultural, and social implications of food festivals. Employing a quantitative research approach, the study analyzes survey data from 761 participants, including festival attendees, locals, organizers, businesses, and Fars Province community groups. The findings emphasize the significant financial advantages of food festivals, such as contributions to business growth and tourism marketing. Additionally, the research underlines the festivals' function in protecting cultural heritage and increasing community participation. By investigating the mediating role of community participation, this study provides insights into the complex dynamics of food festivals in regional development. The research concludes with recommendations for effective event management and incorporation into broader economic and cultural development projects, seeking to promote sustainable growth and cultural preservation in Indigenous communities. Overall, this study enriches the scientific understanding of food tourism's influence and gives practical implications for policymakers and community developers seeking to use culinary events for regional development and cultural preservation.
